Abstract
A sand sample received from Ennore District Madras State contained 9.7%2+28 mesh 79.3%-28+48 mesh and 11.0%-48 mesh size fractions. Screening out the +28 mesh fraction, followed by tabling of the screened undersize ,yielded a clean -28+48 mesh fraction suitable for use in foundries.
