Abstract
The sand received from the Director, Directorate of Geology & Mining, Lucknow, U.P., was investigated to study its suitability as a foundry moulding sand. The sand was collected from the lower unit of Bhandhana location (25° 15' 81°34'10"), in U.P. As received, it was fine grained and whitish in colour.
