Abstract
The sand received from the Director, Directorate of Geology and Mining, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh was investigated to study its suitability as a foundry moulding material. The sand was collected from the location Bhainsahi (25°C16" 81° 34 ' 10"), lower unit horizon in U.P. The sand 'as received' was white in colour and fine grained.
