Abstract
Washing of a Selenite sample (assaying 45.2% SO3) received from Messrs Bikaner Gypsums Ltd., Calcutta could yield selenite concentrates having a purity of 97.7% to 99.1 CaSO4 2H2O, With SO3 recoveries of 99.2% to 91.6%; higher grades being obtained with finer crushed products.These concentrates may be considered suitable for manufacturing surgical grade plaster.
