Abstract
1. Detailed investigations undertaken en in National Metallurgical, Laboratory had indicated earlier that fluorspar samples from (1) Bhagatwali mine, (2) Ramorwalimine , (3) Thurwali mine and (4) Matamagri mine, all from Dungarpur District of Rajasthan, could be concentrated for metallurgical purposes and acid manufacture by straight fatty acid flotation employing water demineralized in a Pernutit Water Softener. The nearest source of water supply to the above fluorspar deposits is at Lakshmansagar, situated about 2 miles away and consequently the Director of Mines & Geology, Rajasthan requested that some flotation tests ma be undertaken in National Metallurgical Laboratory with the1r of soft water used eartiEP9"6Ottles öf napsagaf3110Sead sager were received from the Director of Min:s & Geology, Govt. of Rajasthan, for this purpose. Average values for the temporary and permanent hardness as CaC03 were reported to be 27.52 and 7,0. Whether the dissolved salts contained in this water are harmful for flotation of fluorspar, required study 3.47 respective The water had a pH of about
