Abstract
The manufacture of dies made of diamond and cemented carbides is considered. A short historical note is given .The selection of the proper diamond for the die is considered. The various stages starting from the selection of the diamond to the polishing and mounting of the completed die are described. The manufacture of cemented carbide dies is also considered. A bibliography of 107 references is appended.
