Abstract
The beach sands from Trivandrum (Kerala State) were examined and a study of their use in foundries was made. Synthetic mixtures and core oil mixtures were prepared and their moulding and core making characteristics also were studies. The sand is found to be a high grade one which can be used for cast iron and steel castings.
