Abstract
Hindus tan Steel Limited reported failure of some of their blast furnace stove refractories and desired the National Metallurgical Laboratory to undertake investigations into the causes which led to the nature failure f thebe Refractories belonging to blast furnace stove checker-work after a service life of only three years. The failed refractor bricks were taken from two cement zones from the top portion of the checker-work of the blast furnace stove. Two sets G1 and G2 of three bricks ea Were sent for investigation at the National Metallurgical laboratory.
