Abstract
A sample of low grade dolomite received from M/S. Tata Iron & Steel Company Ltd., for beneficiation studies, assayed 20% MgO, 28.6% CaO, 4.,22% SiO2, 1.34% Al2O3, and 45% CO2 .Batch flotation studies undertaken on the sample after grinding it to suitable fineness indicated that either fatty acid or cationic flotation could suitably be employed for the production of dolomite concentrate low in silica.
