Abstract
The Sand sample, received from Rajmahal quartz sand and Kaolin Co., Calcutta, was investigated with a view to determine its moulding characteristics and its suitability for foundry uses. The sand was red in colour and medium to fine grained derived from deposits in Kanhayasthan Hill in Rajmahal (Bihar).
