Abstract

Experiments were done on laboratory scale on the sinterability of various ore fines received at Bhilai and also on the blended ore fines. The studies showed that Rajhara, Dalli dry and blended ore fines had the best sintering indices for a basicity of 3.1. Close correlation was found between initial and minimum permeability, init-ial permeability and sintering time and minimum permea-bility and sintering time.
