Abstract
The chemical and granulometric composition of indus-trial sinter return was investigated at Bhilai Steel Plant. It was found that + 5.0 mm size fraction of sinter return (taking into account its chemical composition and opertational conditions at BSP Blast Furnace)can be cons-idered as a skip sinter. The effect of addition of indus-trial sinter return on the indices of the sintering process was studied under laboratory conditions. Inves-tigation was conducted on the effect of sinter return quantity in the cases of constant size of sinter return and varying size of sinter return. The optimal conditions of using sinter return at different regimes of sintering technology and cake treatment were determined.
