Vaish, A K (1997) Development of a Thermo-Chemical Model for the Production of Calcium-Silicon Alloys. In: Proceedings of Golden Jubilee International Conference on Recent Advances in Metallurgical Processes Vol-1, 16-19 July 1997, IIS, Bangalore.
Calcium silicon alloys are used in iron and steel industry as powerful deoxidation and desulphurisers. A thermo-chemical modl has been evolved to predict the grade to the alloy, slag and gas composition and heat losses from the furnace.
