Abstract

Groundwater quality of Sahebgunj and Rajmahal blocks in Sahebgunj district has been mapped with reference to arsenic, fluoride, iron and nitrate. Attempt has been made to cover both private and government hand pumps and dugwell. About more than 9000 water samples were collected and analysed for arsenic, fluoride, iron and nitrate. A number of hot spots with regards to arsenic and fluoride have been identified in both Sahebgunj and rajmahal blocks.
