Abstract

The drop tank of Mig-21 T-96 aircraft fell down during flying. The recovered drop tank revealed that the eye-end of the suspension rod used for suspending the drop tank was broken. The objective of the investigation is to find out whether fracture was instantaneous in nature or occurred over a period of time.
