Abstract
Development of aluminium base alloyed material for engi-neering applications having wear resistant and elevated temperature serviceability and its characterisation through microstructure study, room as well as elevated temperature mechanical and wear properties evaluation. The broad studies in the present project will involve: (i) To develop the Al-Fe-V-Si alloys through cast route. (ii) Optimisation of modifying elements and or master alloys to achieve uniform distribution of Fe and Si bearing phases in the matrix.
