Abstract

A Coking coal from wast Bokaro was analysed 47.96% Fixed Carbon, 26.145 volatile matter and 25.94% ash. Flotation studies were conducted using kerosene, Light diesel oil, fuel oil, n-dudecyalamine and sodium lauryl sulphate were tried. MIBC, Pine oil and Cresylic acid were used as frothers. Kerosene and MIBC were found to be most effective collector and frother respectively in reducing the ash to 11.68%
