Abstract

STEEL has probably the widest range of applications of any material. The wide range of alloy compositions, mechanical properties product forms available make it a versatile material that is used in components & products that may be small or large, high-tech or low-tech, everyday or specialist. Some of the common uses are in home, packaging, travel and transport, construction, power and various other areas. In short, nothing is manufactured, processed or transported without steel.
