Abstract
Co-Al alloys are of the precipitation hardening type and their magnetic hardness is dependent upon the size and shape of the precipitate particles obtained after the heat treatment. By quenching these alloys from 1380oC to room temperature and subsequent tempering at 400-700oC for 100 hrs. or more, good magnetic properties have been obtained.
