Abstract

Geometric volume has been used for correlating a number of molecular and thermodynamic properties of a particular type of haloethane refrigerants. The developed correlations have been used for predicting those properties of 210 haloethanes belonging to that particular category. A number of haloethane refrigerants have been predicted which have the potentials of viable refrigerants. This study is essentially an aid to the experimental chemist before venturing into the synthesis of new refrigerants
