Abstract

THE National Metallurgical Laboratory, has since its ince-ption two decades ago, developed a number of processes and techniques based on extensive pilot plant trials. Many such processes are now ready for commercial utilization and several of them are under exploitation by the indus-tries. This paper contains a brief appraisal of both patented and unpatented processes developed at the NML. Inves-tigation work undertaken on behalf of industrial.concerns and other organisations and relating to their specific requirements of technical know-how have however not been reported here.
