Abstract
Goverment to licence additional capacity for stainless steel -- The Government of India has approved in principle the licensing of an additional capacity of about 16,000 to 18,000 tons of stainless steel sheets annually. It has also been decided that an inter-ministerial committee should select the firms to whom industrial licences may be given. In all 28 firms have applied for permission to set up plants to manufacture stainless steel products.
