Abstract
As the inaugural session draws to a close, it falls on me to express, on behalf of the Scientistsand other staff of the NML and also on behalf of the members of the Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers, our gratitude to Shri Patil for having come to the relatively inacc- essible city of Jamshedpur to inaugurate this meeting of a professional body.
