Abstract

This patent describes a leaching process for recovery of Cu, Ni & Co from synthetic sulfide mattes containing Cu 20 - 30%, Ni 25- 35%, Co 3 - 5%, Fe 10 -15% & S 20-30%. The matte may be from various sources, e.g. obtained either through reduction smelting followed by sulfidization of low garde ores or from various alloy scraps.
