Abstract

Although non-ferrous metals corrode at a lesser extent than steel, they suffer appreciable attack on exposure to atmosphere and when used in underground service. The corrosivity of non-ferrous metals have been deter-mined by DRL(M), Kanpur, by outdoor exposure at Bombay, Cochin, Balasore and Jodhpur. Corrosion of nonferrous metals buried in Kanpur soil has also been determined.
