Abstract

Determining quickly and precisely the oxygen in the bath during the steel relining process is an important basic subject in the control of the refining operation and in comprehending the mechanism of steel making reactions. Although much improvement ant progress have been seen recently in the determination of oxygen in steel and it has become possible to determine it with accuracy and sonic rapidity, there has not been any perfected sampling method to ascertain the oxygen content ill the bath during the refining process.
