Abstract

During the last twenty years it has increasingly been realised that the sintering plants, far from being just a necessary evil, are in fact an essential part of the metallurgical installations of a blast furnace plant capable of contributing to considerable impro-vements of furnace operation as well as sizeable reduction of the costs involved in the manufacture of pig-iron.
