Abstract
A short overview of the developments in the field of corr-osion, failures and corrosion protection, highlighting the contributions of National Metallurgical Lab oratory (NML)has been given. The aim is to introduce and publicise the achievements and focus the capabities of our reseach and development scientists to the customers. An attempt has been made to have a glimpse of the future long term vision of R & D Activities in the field
