Abstract

Lead adsorption on combustion derived nanosized ceramics is an improvement in the ceramic technology at nano level. Dynamic method is employed for the adosorption of lead ions on combustion derived metal oxides. The structural changes in the adsorbed metal oxides were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD), morphology of the adsorbed oxide samples were studied by scanning electron micrograph (SEM), and variations in the vibrational frequencies were studied by IR studies. The eluent sample was characterised by atomic absorption stueds (AAS) and solution conductivity is carried out for both eluent and pure solution to know its adsorption behaviour.
