Abstract

Magnetic (Fe3O4) nanoparticles with a size range of 8-25 nm were prepared by the chemical co precipitation method from the solution of Ferrous/Ferric mixed salt solution in alkaline medium. In the process, palmitic acid is used as surfactants to attain ultrafine nearly spherical Fe3O4 nanoparticles, which had well magnetic properties. The size distribution of nanoparticles were determined by TEM and SEM, Magnetic nanoparticles was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis, and magnetic hystersis, The magnetic properties of the Fe2O3 were also studied by using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) bonding nature was studied with FTIR technique.
