Abstract

For the extraction of copper from ammoniacal solution LIX-64N is widely used. Recently LIX-84 has been introduced in the market. In connection with our studies on recovery of copper and nickel from polymetallic ocean nodules and laterite nickel ores we undertook a study of this new extractant. A synthetic feed solution of copper was used. The loading and stripping behaviour of copper with this extractant has been studied.
