Abstract

Multicomponent blended cements were developed at CBRI with reduced amount of portland cement clinker and industrial by-product/wastes, viz, flyash and granulated blast furnace slag along with desired amount of gypsum. These cements provide excellent restrance under assressive environments beside being advantageous in saving energy as well as ordinary portland cement to the extent of 50 per cent this providing economy in construction activities.
