Abstract

Fly ash based bricks and blocks produced in Hindalco Industries Ltd, when used for constraction of residential clolony premises and road pavements resply, at Renusagar have been proved to be quite economical and better in performance than the clay bricks. Theaverage crushing strengths of fly ash based bricks and blocks are 120 to 180 Kg/cm2 and 180-200 kg/cm2 respectively which are much higher than those produced from clay. The price of fly ash brick is estimated to Rupee 0.90 per brick.
