Abstract

Zircon recovered as a non magnetic and non conducting heavy mineral from the entire process. Recovered zircon is used for making zircon brick and fired at different temperature in an industrial tunnel kiln. Physical, chemical and thermo-mechanical properties are evaluated. Mineralogical properties are correlated with the thermo-mechanical properties. The developed bricks are compared with the standards for its suitability in industrial application.
