Abstract

Utilisation of x-rays in chemical analysis with the help of x-ray fluorescence spectrometer has been described. Theoretical and practical aspects have been discussed along with relation between concentration and intensities of x-rays. Function of various parts of x-ray fluorescence analyser as well as merit and demerits of the technique is described. (Dr. L.P. Pandey, Scientist, National Metallurgical Laboratory)
