Abstract

The decrepitation characteristics of Lohara iron ore from Maharashtra was studied at varying temperature and time. It was observed from the test results that the degradation to fines are maximum in the temperature range of 400-600°C. Increasing the time upto 180 min. increases degradation upto a certain limit. Thereafter, further increase in time, had no appreciable effect. Increase in temperature to even 1000°C did not significantly increase the extent of degradation. (Shri J.S.
