Abstract

Powder metallurgy of alloy steels has drawn considerable attention during recent years. This has made the fabrication aspect more flexible and economical. In addition all other conventional processes like heat treatment, etc. can be combined with P/M technique. In the present review the whole spectrum of the powder metallurgy of alloy steels, viz. production, compaction, sintering, has been described and some of the properties of the sintered products have been mentioned.
