Abstract
In this paper the mining and extraction methods have been reviewed briefly. Production and future possibilities are discussed. The grade and extent of copper ore deposits in the country are considered encouraging to plan relatively inexpensive leaching methods such as those involving micro-organisms for the recovery of copper.
