Closing Remarks of National Seminar on Baterial Leaching

Abstract

Iiollotiwing the normal practice , the closing remarks were to have been given by Prof. V. A. Altekar, Director, N .R. Since he had to rush to Jorhat to participate in the Conference of all the Directors of the various National Laboratories of the CSIR, I am here as a substitute to offer the closing remarks. Gentlemen , this afternoon 's session brings us to the close of the technical se isions of the current Seminar. The success of a seminar mainly depends on the exchange of ideas and the papers stimulating exchange of views. When we decided to hold the Seminar, we were sceptical about the response. But the response has been exceedingly well and spontaneous. On behalf of the staff of the NNIL and my owa behalf, I wish to profusely thank all the authors , who have contributed technical papers and all those who took part in the discussions. I wish to thank the Chairman and Rapporteurs of the different technical sessions for so ably co.iducting the deliberations of the Seminar. My sincere thanks are also due to Prof. Agate and Dr Dar, both of whom have delivered interesting and illuminating lectures.
