Abstract

Small amounts of niobium, both in mild steel and stainless steel, have been determined by ac intermittent arc and point to plane spark technique respectively using secondary solid standards. Niobium in the range of 0.01 to 0.2% in mild steel and 0.1 to 1.0% in stainless steel was determined by this method with reproducible results having good agreement with chemical results. (Shri M.K.
