Abstract

In the second part of this paper the effect of operating conditions on high temperature oil-ash corrosion is presented. The paper also discusses the effectiveness of some of the preventive measures. Of the various methods tried, addition of CaO and MgO gave the best results. Aluminium coating was found to be effective on short-term test, but its utility for long term use will have to be assessed by improving the uniformity of the coating. (Mr. H.R.
