Vote of Thanks

Abstract

RAJYAPAL3I, SRIMATI KANUNGO, SIR JEHANGIR, Ladies and Gentlemen : It is my privilege to propose a vote of thanks to all the guests who have graced this occasion by their presence. We are indeed very happy and proud today to have Rajyapalji in our midst to inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the CSIR and to declare 10th and 11th August, 1968, as `Open Days' of the National Metallurgical Laboratory. When we approached Rajyapalji to inaugurate the function, he readily agreed to do so inspite of heavy responsibilities of the State which clearly indicates the deep interest he is taking in the research activities of the country. To him, I would say : Sir, you have honoured us and inspired us by your distinguished presence and we shall always cherish the memory of this great day. The very first visit of Rajyapalji to the National Metallurgical Laboratory has happily coincided with the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the CSIR at the National Metallurgical Laboratory and we hope that this will be followed by many more visits.
