Abstract

The National Metallurgical Laboratory, has since its inception two decades ago, developed a number of processes and techniques based on extensive pilot plant trials. Many such processes are now ready for commercial utilization and several of them are under exploitation by the industries. This paper contains a brief appraisal of both patented and unpatented processes developed at the NML. Investigation work undertaken on behalf of industrial concerns and other organisations and relating to their specific requirements of technical know-how have however not been reported here.
