Abstract
Devising standards for stoppers on the basis of a few physical tests is a difficult task. It is, however, necessary to draw some workable specifications. Tests undertaken for this purpose are discussed in the paper. Properties of stopper heads of Indian manufacture have been tabulated and tentative conclusions have been drawn to serve as guide lines for further examination. (Messrs H.P.S.
