Abstract

Various possibilities of obtaining vanadium pentoxide from sodium complex salt obtained as a by-product in the Bayer's Alumina Process, have been discussed in the paper. Laboratory scale experiments indicate that 90% of V2O5 in the salt can be recovered at a high purity vanadium pentoxide. (Mr. M.S. Mahanty, Junior Scientific Assistant, Mr. T.C. Dey, Mr. S.R.
