Abstract

Compatibility relationships of the crystalline phases CaAl2O4 CaAl4O7 Ca2Al2SiO7 and MgAl2O4 have been determined by sub-solidus firing of mixtures of these phases followed by X-ray analysis. The crystalline phases are compatible with each other and no other compound has been found to form as a result of interaction at high temperatures. (Dr. M.
