Abstract

The paper shows the possibilities of using low-grade but chemically pure iron ores belonging to the rather small iron deposits of Rajasthan. Although the beneficiation and preparation of the raw materials is expensive and such a plant has to be considered for very small output, the production would be profitable when quality pig-iron and products are produced. This may pave the way to erect more small ironworks as a basis for the future industrial development of large Indian areas. (Prof. Ing Ciril Rekar; Director and Mr. J.
