Abstract

The paper deals with the remaining life assessment (RLA) of components operating in creep regime. The crux of the problem lies in the status evaluation mainly because there are several issues which are not yet adequately and conclusively addressed. Some of the relevant issues have been highlighted. To illustrate some of the points, two case histories related to RLA of main steam pipeline and catalytic reformer tube have been included.
