Abstract

Scientific knowledge may have wide applications and may have wide applications and may form the basis of several technologies. However, a particular technology has to be developed along a much narrower front. Policies and plans for the transfer of technologies have to be related to the specific nature of the technology itself. This paper discusses the modalities of technology transfer as applicable to proven and unproven indigenous and foreign know-how with a few case studies under Indian scenario.
