Abstract
Some of the chelating reagents have been successfully utilised as flotaids. This paper presents the chemistry and applications of chelating type surfactants as flotation collector. The design and selectivity of tailor made chelating reagents have been discussed. Some salient results based on author's own work showing the efficiency of chelating type collector-mineral interaction is highlighted.
